What the $89 includes
- Both headlights, not one.
- Wet sanding to remove the failed factory coating and the oxidation under it.
- Polishing to bring back optical clarity.
- A fresh UV protective coat to slow future yellowing, with a one-year warranty. If the UV coat fails in that year, I redo it at no charge.
- Mobile service. I come to your home, work, or campus spot anywhere in San Luis Obispo, including Cal Poly.
What changes the price
- Vehicle type. Toyota, Honda, Lexus, and similar imports usually have a thinner factory coat. Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and similar domestic vehicles usually have a thicker one and can cost slightly more.
- Condition. Heavy yellowing and deep oxidation take more work. Text a photo and I'll confirm the exact price before anything starts.
- More than one car at the same stop. When two or more cars are done at the same place on the same day, each additional car is $10 off.
- Referrals. If a past customer sent you, you get $10 off. One discount per car.

For most cloudy or yellowed headlights, restoration gets you most of the clarity of new assemblies for a fraction of the price.
When restoration is not the right fix
Restoration treats UV oxidation and hazing. It cannot fix a cracked lens, deep scratches into the lens, or damage inside the headlight. I'll look at your photos and tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
